SASKATOON — City of Saskatoon arenas are gearing up for another winter season.
Cosmo Arena is scheduled to open for public skating on Tuesday, Oct. 2 and Archibald and Lions arenas are scheduled to open on Sunday, Oct. 6 for public skating. ACT arena began public and parent and tot skating at the beginning of September. The weekly public and parent and tot schedules for each rink are as follows:
- ACT Arena: 107-105th Street East
Public Skating – began September 3.
Tuesday: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday: 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Parent and Tot Skating – began September 5
Monday and Thursday: 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Archibald Arena: 1410-Windsor Street
Public Skating – begins Oct. 6.
Sunday: 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Parent and Tot Skating – begins Nov. 6.
Wednesday: 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Cosmo Arena: 3130-Laurier Drive
Public Skating – begins Oct. 2.
Wednesday and Thursday: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday: 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Parent and Tot Skating – begins Oct. 1.
Monday and Friday: 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- Lions Arena: 2205-McEown Avenue
Public Skating – begins Oct. 6.
Sunday: 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Parent and Tot Skating – begins Oct. 1.
Tuesday and Friday: 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
2024-25 admission rates are as follows:
- Adult (19 and over) $6.50
- Youth (6 to 18) - $4.50
- Preschool (5 and under) - Free
- Family - $13.00
- Parent & Tot – Free
New this season, the indoor rinks now accept debit and credit cards. Cash and Leisure gift cards are also accepted at the rinks.
LeisureCards, which provide unlimited access to the six leisure centres, Terry Fox Track and four outdoor pools are also accepted as a payment option at the indoor rinks.
Children, six years of age and younger must be accompanied by a responsible person 16 years of age or older. A maximum of two preschoolers per adult is allowed.
