SASKATOON - Police are investigating after a number of bear spray incidents over the weekend.
Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from the effects of bear spray; he refused further medical care.
The suspect is described as male, wearing jeans, a black jersey, black hat, and sunglasses. The victim and suspect are believed to be known to one another.
In a separate incident, on Oct. 11 at approximately 6:10 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of 23rd Street East for a report of someone 小蓝视频 bear sprayed.
Upon arrival, officers observed two suspects attempt to flee the scene; however, officers were able to arrest both males a short time later. The victim did not wish to proceed with charges.
As a result, a 12-year-old male and 13-year-old male were released to their guardians without charges.
Then, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on the same day, police were called to the 400 block of Fairmont Drive for a report of a male who had been bear sprayed.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who was suffering from the effects of bear spray; he was transported to hospital for further treatment.
The suspects had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
In a separate incident, on Oct. 12 at approximately 6:10 p.m., police were called to the westbound lanes of 20th Street for a report of bear spray 小蓝视频 discharged on a city bus.
Upon arrival, officers located a male on the bus suffering from the effects of bear spray; he was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital.
The suspects and victim are not believed to be known to each other.
On Oct. 12 at approximately 7:10 p.m., police were called to the 2100 block of 22nd Street West for a report of a robbery in progress. Initial information stated bear spray was deployed inside a business.
The suspects had fled the scene prior to police arrival; however, officers located and spoke with the victim.
The suspects are believed to have fled with property belonging to the business.
In another incident, on Oct. 14 at approximately 6:20 p.m., police were called to the intersection at 20th Street East and 1st Avenue 小蓝视频 for a report of bear spray 小蓝视频 discharged on a city bus.
Upon arrival, neither the suspect or victims were on scene. Upon further investigation it is believed that a male bear sprayed a group of females.
The suspect is described as male, wearing all black, with white on the sleeves of his arm.
Then, in a separate incident, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, police were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of Idylwyld Drive North for a report of a robbery in progress where bear spray was involved.
The suspect fled the scene with property belonging to the business before police arrival.
Police are continuing to investigate several of these incidents.
