A 51-year-old man died Friday in a snowmobiling accident near Maidstone
Maidstone RCMP say David Stewart died when his machine struck and oilfield containment berm around 5:30 p.m.
Speed was a factor, according to the police
RCMP remind snow machine operators to be familiar with their surroundings before traveling at high speeds.
