The Frenchman Butte Museum will officially open a new RV park as part of their Museum Festival Day event Sunday Aug. 8 at 11 a.m.

This new, six site facility features both water and electrical hook-up services and is located at the east end of the museum's 10 building complex in the hamlet of Frenchman Butte.

President, Gary Grant indicated this major enhancement to the museum was made possible through the generosity of a host of local residents and businesses who enthusiastically donated funds to support the project.

"The benefits will be significant; not just to the museum, but to all service businesses in this historically rich portion of Saskatchewan," Grant said.

"It provides the RVing visitor a base from which to conveniently explore the nearby historic sites of Fort Pitt and Frenchman Butte as well as the host of other tourist attractions of the area.

"Instead of a tourists rushing through our attractions, they now have the opportunity of spending more than just one day exploring what the area has to offer. That translates into increased sales for the stores, service stations and restaurants located in surrounding communities as well for ourselves. It becomes an 'everyone wins' situation."

A grand opening of the park with a ribbon cutting 小蓝视频 will be included in the museum's annual festival Aug. 8, immediately following an open air church service at 10 a.m.

"We've planned a big day for the visitor again with our parade at 1p.m.. then stage entertainment, open house of our displays, pioneer skill demonstrations, a historic site rifle-pit tour, silent auction, even kids games and mini-golf," Grant said.

"Once again we'll provide a roast beef on a bun supper at 5 p.m.. All in all, a great way to spend a sunny summer Sunday."
