RCMP seek tips in suspicious death in Montreal Lake Cree Nation

Kenneth Henderson was located deceased Nov. 15 near the community of Weyakwin at the boat launch area on the west side of Montreal Lake.

MONTREAL LAKE CREE NATION - Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking the public to please report any contact they had with 33-year-old Kenneth Henderson of Montreal Lake Cree Nation between Tuesday, Nov. 8 and Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Henderson was located deceased Nov. 15 near the community of Weyakwin at the boat launch area on the west side of Montreal Lake. His family has been notified.

RCMP say that their investigation to date has determined Henderson’s death is suspicious in nature.

Investigators are also asking the public to please report any suspicious activity in the community of Weyakwin, the boat launch and surrounding areas between Tuesday, Nov. 8 and Tuesday Nov. 15.

If the public has information to report to investigators, they can call their nearest RCMP Detachment or Police Service, or call 310-RCMP. You can also report information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services and in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
