SASKATOON - Two women are facing charges following an armed robbery at a Saskatoon business.
On Sept. 19 at approximately 5:30 a.m. police responded to a weapons complaint at a business in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue North. Initial information stated a female had a firearm in the store.
Upon arrival, members of the Canine Unit began a K9 track as other officers spoke to staff. Video evidence was obtained that shows one of the suspects pull out and point what appeared to be a firearm.
Shortly after, officers were able to locate two female suspects a short distance away where they were arrested without further incident.
Upon further investigation, officers located a C02 firearm believed to be the weapon used in the incident.
As a result, a 28-year-old woman is facing charges relating to armed robbery, possession of a firearm, and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions. A 24-year-old woman is facing charges involving armed robbery, and failure to comply with court-ordered conditions.
