Police investigate numerous bear spray incidents in Saskatoon

There were five incidents over two days.

SASKATOON - Police are investigating multiple incidents involving bear spray Monday and Tuesday in Saskatoon.

At about 9:50 a.m. on July 22, Saskatoon Police Service responded to 19th Street West and Avenue C 小蓝视频 where a 24-year-old woman was suffering from the effects of bear pray. The victim was uncooperative and did not provide any further information.

Then, at around 3:50 p.m. police responded to the 200 block of Avenue O 小蓝视频 where they found a seven-year-old male youth had been assaulted with bear spray by an unknown person.

Later, at about 6:40 p.m. officers attended to the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a report of someone 小蓝视频 bear sprayed. When police arrived, the suspects had fled the scene. Officers took the victim home.  

Also, at about 6:40 p.m. police responded to the 100 block of 33rd Street West for a report of a bear spray incident. Officers spoke with the victim who did not want charges to be laid at this time.

Then, on July 23 at about 1:50 a.m., police responded to reports of a bear spray incident in the 100 block of Nelson Road. Officers were not able to find the suspect; however, the victim was treated on the scene by paramedics. Again, the victim did not want charges laid at this time.

Police do not believe the incidents are connected, and continue to investigate.
