Majority of weapons charges dropped against 5 men

The five were arrested after police got a report of a suspicious vehicle in Prince Albert in March.

PRINCE ALBERT – The majority of weapons related charges against five men arrested in March were dropped.

A stay of proceedings was entered on Nov. 30 in Prince Albert court against Malual Yel Malual and Koran Sokwapnace.

Most of the charges against Yeina Koladino, Lenny Wuttunee, and John Kargbo were also stayed. Koladino and Wuttunee were each given 12 months probation on a single weapons charge and Kargbo was given a 12-month conditional discharge on one weapons charge.

The five were arrested after police got a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of 8 Street East in March. When police arrived they found five men inside the vehicle and a visible weapon [bear spray]. They were all arrested and police found two loaded handguns, a shotgun, a BB gun, a baggie of pills ammunition, cannabis, and a small amount of cash.
