A lawyer representing a Prince Albert man charged with the murder of his parents and son, and the attempted murder of his daughter, asked the court for an adjournment.

The court granted defense lawyer Terra Lennox-Zepp her request for an adjournment to give her time to receive and go over disclosure in the case against accused triple killer Nathaniel Carrier, 28. 听

Disclosure consists of the Crown鈥檚 case against the accused and usually includes search warrants, the charging document, details of the offence, audio/video and transcribed witness statements, statements from the accused, expert reports, exhibits, private communication intercept authorizations, evidence, and criminal records of witnesses and the accused.

Early and full disclosure helps the defence and can often help plea negotiations and reduce the number of full criminal trials and wrongful convictions.

Carrier was charged on April 1 with the first-degree murder of his mother Sandra Henry, 56, father Denis Henry, 56, and son, Bentlee, 7. He was also charged with the attempted murder of his daughter, Kendrah, 5.

According to Prince Albert Police, they went to a home on March 29 at 315 McArthur Drive - where Nathaniel Carrier lived with his parents and two children - to do a welfare check at the request of a family member. Once inside, police found three people dead and a little girl in critical condition. She was taken to a Saskatoon hospital before 小蓝视频 transported to an Edmonton hospital. She has since been released from hospital.听

Police noticed that Denis Carrier鈥檚 vehicle was missing, along with Nathaniel Carrier. Police later learned that the vehicle was in La Ronge, Sask. 听Police believe the murders occurred on March 28. Carrier was arrested on March 31 in Prince Albert.

When neighbours heard about the murders they said this was the last house they would expect such a gruesome crime.听 They described the couple as 鈥渞eally, really nice鈥 people who were 鈥渁lways cheerful.鈥

Carrier is now scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Sept. 1 by CCTV to speak to the matter.
