HUDSON BAY — Hudson Bay RCMP say the five-year-old boy reported in the Rural Municipality of Hudson Bay has been located deceased.
Dawson Romeo was last seen at approximately 7:15 p.m. on July 29, walking west from a residence approximately five kilometres southwest of Hudson Bay.
Initial investigation has determined his death is not suspicious in nature.
RCMP say the family has been notified and that their thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
Hudson Bay RCMP detachment thanked the community groups, organizations and local residents that assisted in the search.
The search was affected by the fact that Dawson was autistic and non-verbal, although he could make sounds which people searching for him might have been able to hear. He was not wearing clothes the last time he was seen.
Hudson Bay RCMP had asked area residents to check their properties for signs of Dawson.
