Kinsmen Aquatic Centre reopened Monday evening after a carbon monoxide scare forced staff and patrons from the building Saturday.
Concerns were raised about an unusual odour in the building at about 10:15 a.m. When North Battleford emergency personnel investigated, elevated levels of carbon monoxide were detected.
"We closed the aquatic centre because the CO levels were higher than what is considered normal, but not at dangerous levels," said North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services Chief Pat MacIsaac.
According to a City press release, a roof top heating unit malfunctioned, which caused the odour and resulted in poor air quality. The problem has been repaired.
