THE BATTLEFORDS – Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation is reporting a sellout of it's Monthly Lottery that launched Feb. 15.
Sales concluded April 5 and the organization reports this year's 50/50 draw, which will be made Friday, April 29, will net the lucky winner a record prize of $15,935.
Draws will begin with the Early Bird prize of $1,000 Thursday, April 14, followed by the Previous Purchaser prize of $1,000 on Friday, April 22. Regular monthly draws will begin Friday, April 29.
Funds raised from this year’s Monthly Lottery will support the purchase of a phototherapy unit (PUVA) for use in therapy services at Battlefords Union Hospital.
In addition, $10,525 was raised from the Monthly Lottery Ask (a donation in addition to the purchase of a ticket and 50/50 enhancements) for a blanket warming cabinet for use in ambulatory care at Battlefords Union Hospital.
“We are thrilled with the success of our Monthly Lottery and the generosity and support of our loyal donors”, says Leanne Ducommun, executive director for BUH Foundation. “Together we will ensure that the people in the Battlefords and area have access to the best care, as close to home as possible.”
