THE BATTLEFORDS — Battlefords RCMP responded to 481 calls for service during the time period of Wednesday, Oct. 19 through Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Five missing persons reported

Two investigations remain active.

22 assault investigations

• At approximately 2:30 a.m. Oct. 24, police responded to a residence on the Moosomin First Nation. Two suspects, a man and a woman in possession of a knife and a firearm were reported to have committed a robbery at the residence. Several items and cash were taken by suspects. No one was harmed during incident.

• At 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, police called to a robbery on Pearson Avenue in North Battleford. The victim reported a man approached her as she was parking her vehicle, claimed to have a firearm and demanded cash and her vehicle keys. The suspect fled with the victim’s vehicle after a brief struggle. The victim was not injured. The vehicle was recovered early the next morning near Prince Albert. A 36-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were arrested. No charges have yet been laid.

• 911 call received from a residence on Sweetgrass First Nation shortly before 1 a.m. Oct. 19. Female caller reported 小蓝视频 assaulted by a suspect at the residence. The suspect fled prior to police arrival and was not located. A warrant for arrest has been issued for a 51-year-old man on charges of assault and failing to comply with an undertaking.

• Report of a possible assault in progress at a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation at approximately 5 p.m. Oct. 20. Police located a woman in her 20s who had sustained several non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital for treatment. A 30-year-old man on scene was arrested and has since been charged with one count of assault.

• Police responded to a 911 call to a residence on the 1600 block of 107th Street in North Battleford at 11 p.m. Oct. 20 after a report of an assault in progress. A 34-year-old man was arrested on scene and held in custody. He made his first appearance in court Oct. 21 charged with assault and assault while choking. The victim did not sustain any significant injuries.

Three break and enter investigations

• Break and enter to a business on 1st Street West in Denholm reported in the late afternoon of Oct. 22. Suspect(s) entered by a rear entry to building.

• Report of a male suspect attempting to break into a residence on Ross Crescent in North Battleford at 4 a.m. Oct. 22. A 26-year-old man was located attempting to leave the scene and arrested. He has since been released and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 28 charged with break and enter and resisting arrest.

Police located a male slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle parked on the 800 block of 106th Street in North Battleford at 3 a.m. Oct. 23. The subject was found to be impaired and arrested. Several firearms were located inside the vehicle and seized as well. A 42-year-old man was remanded and appeared in court Oct. 24 on charges of resisting arrest, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and refusing to provide a breath sample.

A 29-year-old man, wanted out of Lloydminster stemming from an incident from this past weekend on charges that include dangerous driving, aggravated assault and careless use of a firearm, was arrested shortly before 1 p.m. Oct. 25 on 100th Street in North Battleford after 小蓝视频 identified by police. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. He is appeared in court in North Battleford on an additional charge of resisting arrest. A 47-year-old woman was also arrested on a warrant for 小蓝视频 in violation of her conditional sentence order.
