BEAUVAL - On April 25 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Beauval RCMP received a report of a disturbance and suspicious fire at a residence in Beauval.
The police investigation determined that several individuals approached vehicles parked outside the residence. The vehicles’ windows were smashed and one was determined to have damage consistent with gunshots. The vehicles had also been damaged by fire. There was a person inside one of the vehicles at the time. They were not injured.
Police say that occupants of the residence approached the individuals and they were sprayed with bear mace. Bear mace was also sprayed at the door of the residence. Some occupants reported experiencing minor effects from the bear mace.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 24-year-old Braydon Durocher, 19-year-old Jelena Lafleur-Laliberte and 25-year-old Vincent Roy all of Beauval, and two male teens have each been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, arson with disregard for human life, arson that caused damage to property, careless use of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of a weapon for committing an offence, uttering threats, two counts of mischief.
One male teen was arrested on April 25 and will appear in court in Beauval on May 18 at 10 a.m. He can’t be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Warrants have been issued for the others suspects and Beauval RCMP are actively working to locate and arrest them.
Braydon Durocher is approximately 5-foot-8,135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Vincent Roy is approximately 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Jelena Lafleur-Laliberte is approximately 5-foot-6. She has medium-length brown hair and brown eyes. She often wears a nose ring. Police say they don’t have a photo of her available.
Police can’t provide identifying details of the male teen wanted on warrant in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
