North Battleford city council has approved the application of Siemens Transport Ltd. for a bulk oil retail outlet and office at 2741 - 99th St.
The application was approved Feb. 15, subject to the condition that there be no bulk oil storage undertaken in conjunction with the proposed development.
The business is to be located in the C3 highway Commercial Zoning District. According to City Planner Tim LaFreniere, the location will not be used for the storage of any bulk fuel.
Instead, the site will be used primarily for retail sales of lubrication oils and for the parking of bulk fuel tanker trucks. Retail sales are permitted in C3-Highway Commercial zones subject to council's discretion.
