Organizers says The Rotary Club of the Battlefords’ annual Oktoberfest, a joint project with the Battlefords Agricultural Society, was a huge success.
Rotary credits Rotarian Keri Payne and Ag Society’s Jocelyn Ritchie for organizing the many volunteers.
Rotary also thanks Sallows and McDonald Funeral Home and Eternal Memories for the “safe rides home.”
Bar services were donated by Ray Oleshko.
Happy participants said they are anxiously awaiting Oktoberfest’s return next year.
Evening activities included German dancing, led by members of the German Club from Regina, beer stein holding contests for both men and women, barrel rolling (as in beer barrel rolling) and a relay race.
A German beer was made especially for the evening by Wade and Tracy Voigt from The Armoury. Wade also won the Stein Holding contest.
