This year's Battlefords Kiwanis Music Festival got underway Monday with speech arts the first category up.

If you've been following our regular feature, Festival Fanfare, put together by Kelly Waters, you should have a very good idea of the scope of the festival as well as the dates. More information can be had by purchasing a program for $7 at Sobeys. Plus there are many posters around town outlining all session dates and times. The festival runs through to Friday, March 22 when the celebratory gala and awards 小蓝视频 will be held at Third Avenue United Church. Note that all sessions are open to the public and that donations towards festival expenses are gratefully accepted at the door of venues.

Friday is the North Battleford Bonaventure Lions Club 24th Annual Art Auction and Sale. A popular event featuring Saskatchewan artwork, proceeds will be going to KidSport and Creative Kids. The evening, which includes dinner , gets underway at 5:30 p.m. with a viewing of the work. You can also view the work from March 6 on. Find a Lion for your tickets.

If you've never seen Hosanna, or if you have and it's become a seasonal tradition for you and your family, you have your chance this weekend. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. (March 8, 9,10), this exciting Easter musical drama will be performed at Living Faith Chapel.

All cowboy poet fans should get in touch with the Western Development Museum for advance tickets to the Cowboy Poetry event there Saturday.

Entertainment and a City of North Battleford Centennial Birthday Cake will be the feature of a Centennial Seniors' Tea at the Chapel Gallery on Sunday, March 10. The event is free, but it is sure to be popular and seating is limited, so get your tickets at City Hall or Blue Rentals.

Pergogies! You love'em? Then get your advance ticket, because that's what you'll need to feast on Perogies and More at St. Vital Parish Centre Sunday, March 10. Gather at 4 p.m.and be eating by 5 p.m., with entertainment, too!

For those of you who still can't get enough delicious Ukrainian food, how about the Hafford Ukrainian Catholic Church Spring Tea and Bake Sale? It's at the Hafford Parish Hall on Saturday, March 16 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Then head out to Meota Sunday the 17th for the Meota Community Complex Spring Supper. from 5 to 7 p.m.

Want to get into curling? Now's the perfect time. Twin Rivers Curling Club has Drop-In Curling on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m. at the new curling venue at the CUPLex. For $5, equipment included, learn the game, sharpen your skills and join in for refreshments in the On the Rocks restaurant.
