World Day of Prayer observed

Anglican Minister Reverend Beverly Brown of Saskatoon was the quest speaker at the World Day of Pray service March 4 at Maymont Seniors' Center. Rev.Brown's theme was "The Lords Prayer." A collection of $50.

A collection of $50.50 was sent to the Inter Churches Council of Canada.

Special Thanks to Valerie Gray for playing the hymns and June Rogers who helped in organizing the service, and to all who took part. A social hour followed. (Information supplied by Kay Greenslade)

Condolences to the Darcy Wood family on the loss of Shirley Wood. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

There will be a stew and biscuit evening at the seniors' centre March 23. Everyone is welcome. Entertainment will follow.

Congratulations to the champions Maymont Settlers. The final was an exciting game with a final score of 6 to 3 against Radisson. This is the first year for the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League.

Don't forget March 18, Gary Fjellgaard and Saskia and Darrel will be in concert at the Maymont Memorial Hall. Partial proceeds will go to Glenburn Park. The show starts at 7 p.m. For more information call Darlene Melrose at 389-2160.
