What kind of winter is this?

What kind of winter is this? I know that we could have lots of snow and cold yet to come but this is unbelievable. Yes, we do have some snow and there are a few snowmobiles moving about but mostly on the lake.

What kind of winter is this? I know that we could have lots of snow and cold yet to come but this is unbelievable. Yes, we do have some snow and there are a few snowmobiles moving about but mostly on the lake. Maybe this was not the year to book a holiday in Cuba!

Now that the holiday season is over, we seem to be returning to some sort of routine. The programs that are 小蓝视频 made possible in whole or in part by the CIF (Community Initiatives Fund) grant have resumed. Walking in the hall on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning is going and there is some interest in moving those times to evening. Possibly that could happen in February. Games night is once again going Wednesday nights. The rink is open for the season with burger night 小蓝视频 on Tuesdays as are the skating lessons for the kids. It is very likely that power skating will be offered this season as well. Of course what is a burger night without a round of bunnock right after!

In the next week there will be a Kaiser tournament hosted by the Rabbit Lake branch of the Lakeland Library, at the community hall Jan. 20. Check with Melitta at the library for further details. Also a new activity is a quilting class 小蓝视频 taught by Marge and Lynn Morrison. This class will begin Jan. 11 and run on Wednesday evenings at the senior centre. The guys are beginning to think about playing pool, also on Wednesday evenings. If you are interested in playing pool, check with Greg MacKenzie for details.

I am sure there is something happening in Rabbit Lake that would be of interest.

Get well wishes go to Albert Colbe as he recovers from surgery.

It is always sad to bid farewell to residents and former residents of the community. Bob Pfeiffer, who was born and raised and farmed at Rabbit Lake for all but the very last few years passed away Dec. 28. A funeral service was held in North Battleford Jan. 4. The community sends its condolences to the Siegal and Simon families.
