Sandra and Crystal Sutherland enjoyed the "roll-a-thon" held at Pine Island Lodge Sept. 17. The event wound up with a barbecue. Sandra's mother, Eva Sutherland, is a resident at the lodge.
Kenneth and Carol Sutherland enjoyed a road trip through the Dakotas and Wyoming. They enjoyed the many interest tourist attractions during the days from Sept. 2 to 9.
The board of Pine Island Suites is planning an interesting evening to be held at Waseca Hall Oct. 15. The evening will begin with a supper and will include the auctioning of many donated articles which include a hand made doll, a hand made Barr Colonist trunk and Bruce McFadyen's 9,999th and 10,000th hand made bird houses.
By the way, Bruce has now made over 10,500 bird houses, many of which can be seen on posts along highways and in villages and towns. Most of them were occupied during the summer.
