NBCHS students' summer came to an end as they walked through the doors of NBCHS Aug. 31 to register for the new school year.
The Grade 12s started rolling in at 9 a.m., confident and excited to finally be the seniors in their school. They were followed by the Grade 11s. The Grade 10s were happy to finally not be the "minor niners" The Grade 9s entered timidly, scared to start in a larger, unfamiliar school. The students came in to register, choose their lockers, pay their yearly fees and smile for the camera.
The SRC (Student Representative Council) helped out the whole day in various places around the school. Dressed in tie-dye shirts, they welcomed people, directed them in the right direction, gave tours, answered questions and gave out free popcorn.
With the summer behind them, the students then prepared for their first day of classes Sept. 1.
