When spring comes here, it comes quickly. The past week we have seen the leaves come out on the trees and the grass grow quickly. More wild flowers are blooming, including the beautiful, dainty, purple violets I have growing in my house yard. The strong winds are drying the land quickly so seeding operations are in full swing.
Christine Pike travelled to Forestburg, Alta. Friday to attend the Grade 12 graduation of her great-nehphew, Sylvester Thomas. Sylvester plans to work in Ireland as an exchange student next year.
Many of Sylvester's relatives attended the graduation, so there was family visiting as well. Christine was an overnight guest of her sister (Sylvester's grandmother), Maureen Bexson.
Helena Pike enjoyed 小蓝视频 a delegate at the three-day annual meeting of the Superannuated Teachers of Saskatchewan held in Saskatoon May 10-12. Although a lot of serious business was transacted at the meeting, there was lots of time to visit with friends, enjoy meals together and be entertained by musical groups as well.
