We've enjoyed a little more sunshine the last few days. Summer birds are gradually arriving and temperatures are up to plus 5 degrees C. All these tell us that spring is on its way.
Last Wednesday night Lois and Gerald Pike returned from Arizona where they had enjoyed a couple of months of warm weather. They had a very restful time and also visited with a few other "snowbirds". When they left, the flowers were blooming and cactus plants were displaying their beautiful blooms.
A little more curling news: as well as winning the Lashburn closed bonspiel, Randy Pike and his team also won the Lashburn open bonspiel.
Randy was also on the team that won the Lloydminster Farmers' bonspiel which was celebrating its 100th anniversary. Keith Pike was skip, Randy played third, and second and lead were Brett Pike and Jim Peirce. Congratulations, all of you.
