Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Clara Elizabeth Koch, who passed away Feb. 23, at the age of 78. She was born in Rosenberg, Russia, later immigrating to Canada. Clara is a long time resident of the area.
Clara's funeral was held on Feb. 28, from the Marsden Community Hall, with the interment in the Wycollar Cemetery.
Clara will be sadly missed by her husband, Norbert, and by her children: sons - Victor (Diane); Joseph (Gail); Orlando (Sharon); Aaron (Jill) and Michael (May); and her daughter, Bernadette (Ian) Poppleton. She also leaves to cherish the memories of her life, 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
Congratulations to Amy and Kagan Sirett on the birth of their third daughter, Ruby Marrian, Feb. 13. Ellie and Gracie are delighted with their wee sister. The grandparents are Bruce and Carol Graham and Fred and Shireen Sirett, all of the Neilburg area. Great-grandmother, Marrian Graham, is pleased that the new addition will carry her name.
Another new arrival to the area is wee Clara Mae Wightman, who was born Feb. 12. She is the third child, and first daughter, of Curtis and Rachel Wightman. Her big brothers are Gus and Roy. Her proud set of local grandparents are Grant and Sandra Wightman of rural Marsden, while Rachel's parents hail from Manitoba.
