Regular Maidstone Drop In Centre activities have been curtailed for the month of July and August. The July-August birthday supper was held Aug. 19. Some seniors arrived at 3 p.m. and played cards and shuffleboard prior to supper, which was served at 5 p.m. In the absence of the president and vice-president, Jean Hartman gave the blessing and hosted the event. Those seated at the birthday table were Shirley Williams, Dorothy Kissick, Keith Weston, Dorothy Schwartz and Scotty Wiltermuth.
The next monthly meeting will be Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. and regular cards and bingo will commence as usual.
