The December meeting of the River's Edge Quilters was attended by only 15 members.
December is a busy month for members, so no classes were scheduled.
Four classes were hosted in November and all were well attended. Mary Deshaye taught a class on creating a chenille rug and members had three completed rugs at show and tell. The beauty with quilting is with one class you get three totally different completed projects and each rug was a beauty.
Gail Bertoia taught a class on making a quilted Christmas stocking. There were three completed stockings at show and tell. Gail also had a trunk show. She wowed members with wall hangings and assorted items. She inspired some to finish projects tucked away.
Welcome back to Joyce Vany. She and Darlene Hitlz will be distributing charity quilts this month to various organizations.
January and February are setting upt to busy months for classes again. Darlene Hiltz will be teaching a thread catcher class and a sewing machine cover class in January.
Arlene Schwab will be doing a class on pillows for the homeless in January.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year from the River's Edge Quilters.
