Mary Carpentier recently celebrated her 75th birhday.

Hi there! I'm back and will update you on our trip next issue. Thanks to Mary and Kari for the help.

Congratulations to Tenor and Allison Yasieniuk and sister Aliyah on the arrival of Jordan Presley, seven pounds, 11 ounces. Congratulations also to Kinley and Amanda Sevick and Parker on the arrival of Keri Joelle Sevick. Congratulations, Doug and Diane. The girls were both born April 27 which was also Doug's dad's birthday and my 65th birthday.

Maymont event - watch for posters. Maymont Hall will be hosting a country gospel event May 25. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and admission will be $10. Entertainers will be The Cooper Creek Boys and Homeward Bound. For more information, call Carol or Mel in Maymont at (306) 389-2440. Don't miss this event.

Big birthdays in Maymont: Mary Carpentier and Jay Babineau turned 75 in April. I was told Jay had a surprise party and I think the big party for the Carpentiers will be when Bert turns 75, which will also be this year. Ernie Voegeli was also surprised by family and friends for his birthday. I know the girls wished everyone a happy birthday, but I'm doing it again, and for those missed, sorry.

This article was sent to me by Edna Carnahan: Six impressive mule and whitetail deer mounts made a fitting backdrop for the Region 2 wildlife meeting hosted by Fielding Branch April 14 at Radisson. Tables draped with red and white checked cloths and vases of pussy willows, each flanked by a deer shed, added to the ambience. Our thanks to Brian Clair and Dianne Kieper for the setup and decorating, and to Dianne for a scrumptious chili dinner and chocolate cake dessert.

Ten of 17 branches participated in our meetings. Our evening roast beef supper prepared by the Rad. rec board was attended by 77 people. Our entertainment was by Lee Bellows - A Cowboy Poet, from Moose Jaw. We had several bronzes and pictures for silent auction, the highlight 小蓝视频 a grizzly done by local artist Tana Keiper. Winners of door prizes at the meeting were David Holmes, William Tkachuk, Jim Peterson, Larry Chambers and Lorne Topley.

Thank you to Bonnie and Sheldon Rothenburger for making and delivering the tickets and to all our donors and everyone who worked so hard to keep all running smoothly, as well as your cleanup efforts.

Our life will never be the same, remember always to tell those you love that you love them - these were words Debbie Penner wrote to family and friends on Facebook. The family has been overwhelmed with all the love and kindness they have received from family friends and the community. Maybe those that don't even know the Penners have sent cards, emails, gifts and food. Some even did errands while the family was at the hospital with Glen. Some contributed money which helped for going back and forth to Saskatoon, and with paying for parking at the hospital and other expenses. The battle is not over and nor are the expenses. Anyone wanting to make a donation can get in touch with Dawn Gray at the Maymont Hotel at 389-2055. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to Glen to help them get through this ordeal.
