Motion Captured, Motion Denied features clay and stoneware works by Jody Greenman-Barber and Zane Wilcox.
These works were created in response to the concept of motion. Greenman-Barber's pieces focus on capturing motion as a moment in time. The emphasis on how the curve and colour of each piece creates an image of motion, a feeling of light and energy around the piece.
The pieces by Wilcox create a contrast with a focus on angles and a solid presence that create a feeling of strength and calm. Both Regina-based artists have explored the limits and possibilities of expanding their media.
This exhibition is on until June 20 and is sponsored by the Battlefords Allied Arts Council and is touring through the Organization of Allied Arts Councils.
