The newest exhibition at the Chapel Gallery is a collection of pieces from 30 artists in 14 cities and towns across Saskatchewan.

Mind the Gap celebrates the wealth of talent amongst the diverse population of emerging artists in our province. The title is a reference to the term often used to describe Saskatchewan as a "gap" in the cultural landscape of Canada. According to the curators of this show, "We mind, actually".

This large-scale exhibition shows the range of new developments in using contemporary art techniques by emerging artists in Saskatchewan. A multitude of media is used including: photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, video, site-specific installation, performance, cartoons and web-based projects.

Joel Carignan is a local artist who has been included in this show. He creates three-dimensional pieces and video.

All fans of contemporary art will enjoy this collection.

This exhibition is at the Chapel Gallery from now until June. Mind the Gap was organized and toured by Dunlop Art Gallery. Funders of this exhibition include Saskatchewan Arts Board, Canada Council for the Arts, Regina Public Library, and Saskatchewan Publishers Group.
