Story:Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation has received a cheque for $5,000 from Garry's Construction Ltd (GCL) of Edam.
"GCL decided to give this donation for Palliative Care at BUH in memory of my wife's late father Andy Bellanger. Andy received wonderful care while in the palliative unit at BUH and we felt it was important to acknowledge this" stated Treverr Poole, owner and manager of GCL.
"Andy was someone who knew the importance of helping out in your community and was a well known and respected individual because of this. I think that he would have happily approved of this gift."
Garry and Elaine Poole started GCL in 1974 and the company has now grown to over 40 staff members. Their operation serves heavy equipment construction work in the potash and oilfield and road related industries. The company is now owned and managed by Garry's and Elaine's son Treverr and his wife Carol. GCL continues to be a family and community orientated business and they are well known for their support of the communities they serve.
Andy Bellanger of Edam passed away at BUH Aug. 1, 2011.
