Lighting up for the Christmas season

It's no doubt that we know this is December when we see the beautiful Christmas decorations in the lounge and the lovely, sparking lights of different colours on the Christmas tree. It just really puts you in the mood for this season of the year.

It just really puts you in the mood for this season of the year.

Everything is going on as usual here in the high rise. The cards, bingo and shuffleboard are in full swing.

We had a birthday party for October, November and December celebrants. There were so many things happening on our calendar we had to join them all together this time.

Congratulations and best wishes go to: October - Linda Kohlman, Elden Jones, Albert Friebel, William Labbe, Bob Sarrasin, Joe Thomas and Dr. Tiwana; November - Ruby Hrabia and Virginia Leask; December - Rose Marie Rohlheiser, Alice Holmes, Anne Hryiuk and Maxine Finch.

For entertainment we played kaiser bingo, which everyone seemed to enjoy. Winning the extra loonie always helps, too.

Nov. 29 we shared a delicious beef stew supper catered by Second to None. They always serve up wonderful fare. Then we enjoyed 小蓝视频 entertained by Gordon Racicot on guitar, Frank Materi with his accordion and lastly Patsy Quinn played the saxophone and tambourine. Their variety of songs and music sets our toes a tapping every time.

We always feel sorry when there are people sick and in the hospital, especially this time of year. We are thinking of Pearl Arnold and Ada Pasutto. Get well wishes go to them both.

Welcome to all newcomers. We are so lucky to have so many moving in recently. I'm just getting acquainted with some of them myself.

My next report will be in January, so I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. See you next year.
