John Paul II Collegiate will be hosting a garage sale in the gymnasium Oct. 30, starting at 10 a.m. and closing around 3 p.m.
This is an opportunity for staff to raise money for the school, as well as a chance for the community to become involved in the support of JP II.
Do you have treasures to sell? Tables for community members are available to rent. For more information contact Mrs. Wandler at 446-2303.
Near lunch time, there will be hamburgers and popcorn available for purchase by any hungry customer. In charge of the event are staff from JP II, who will host their own table for the day. Some of the items that can be purchased at the garage sale are: knick knacks from school plays (candles, glasses, etc), clothes from school plays which can no longer be used, backdrops from school presentations, books and binders which teachers have no room for, a pummel horse and vault, various library equipment (TVs, VHS machines, audio/video equipment,), 35mm photography developing equipment, miscellaneous items from the science, music, industrial and art departments, and many more treasures that are just waiting to be discovered and brought home.
The gym will be divided in two, with the objects from the school on one side, and space for rented tables on the other. Any money earned from a rented table will remain with that seller, and will not be added to the money raised for the school.
JP II will look forward to seeing you there. Bring your pocket change and expect to discover many wonderful treasures!
