Yes I have been absent from sending in news for a while and without much news to write about it is hard to submit each week. So if everyone will bear with me, there will be news from time to time. The question is, how do you write a column with one small news item.
Right now the Grade 8 class of H. Hardcastle School are asking all they know and even people they don't know for help. They have entered a national video contest for Canada's coolest class trip. Now they need your help! There are 70 videos entered in this contest and only the top 10 vote getters are judged. You can vote once a day every day and votes are accepted until Feb. 24. Please go to www.myparkspass.ca and find "The Tale of the Dawson Gold Rush" submitted by H. Hardcastle School in the video gallery. Just click the thumbs up sign under their video. The class consists of the following students: Cordell Beynon, Mason Blais, Elexis Bourrier, Treyden Brennan, Travis Burgess, Taya Cole, Mason Detillieux, Zachary Gordon, Micheal Jones, Tyson Long, Jayden Manastyrski, Melissa Monteith, Kade Mosimann, Bailey Morin, Payton Morin, Brandon Nash, Jolene Nedelec, Tayla Poole, Jonathon Seipp and Jensen White. HHS has a school population of about 168 students and some of the schools they are up against are large schools. They need all the help they can get to make their dream come true. Please be advised the site has been having problems, so please keep trying to vote for these kids if you have trouble.
