I would like to thank everyone who comes to fundraisers, jam sessions, potlucks and other events in support of Maymont Memorial Hall.
Someone asked me what a fundraiser is. It is the process of soliciting and gathering voluntary contributions, such as money or other resources, by requesting donations from individuals, businesses and charitable foundations. Though our fundraising we have been able to put a new roof on our hall, bought 200 new chairs for our hall, renovated the basement, painted the walls and put in new carpet, bought sump pumps and much more. What we are most proud of are our new wheelchair accessible washrooms. These washrooms were also built for our seniors.
