Carnival traditions have evolved from our ancestors and 脡cole P猫re Mercure students and staff are honoured to celebrate them every year.

Afternoon activities included a carnival movie, outdoor games and story writing.

This year, the students received a special treat - beaver tails. A deep fried pastry, shaped like a beaver's tail and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon.

Evening activities included a potluck supper, sleigh rides and a campfire.

Also shared was traditional toffee on the snow, which consists of boiled maple syrup drizzled over fresh packed snow. Roll it up on a wooden Popsicle stick and enjoy!
