A vision of community by Sollei from Bready School.

Make a point of going past North Battleford City Hall before the end of February to take in a unique art display created by Grade Two students from Lawrence School, Bready School and Battleford Central School.

Under the guidance of artist-in-the-classroom Holly Hildebrand, these students created their own impressions around the theme of community. Community from the view of their own family and the activities in their neighbourhood. The artists used bright pastels on dark paper to create a visual representation of their ideas.

A rear projection slide show of all the students' work has been produced and will be shown in the office windows of the main floor of the Breton building (next to City Hall). "Bright Lights" will be on display until the end of February.

Don't miss out on the activities at the Chapel Gallery this weekend. The Annual Artist Retreat takes place with lunch videos, workshops and a membership appreciation event. Call the Chapel Gallery at 445-1757 for more information.

The Chapel Gallery is located in the Don Ross Centre at 891 - 99th St. and is open from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Support is provided by the Saskatchewan Arts Board, the City of North Battleford and RBC Dominion Securities - Rob Rongve, Heath Gabruch, Rena Weikle and David Schell.
