Easter an occasion for visiting with family

Hi there! We finally got a lovely rain on the last weekend of April. It was reported over a half inch. I'm sure everyone was smiling, especially the farmers who were worried about the dry conditions. Now hopefully we will get some nice sunny weather to make things grow.

I hope you all had a happy Easter. Many of our tenants went away to visit family or celebrate here at home.

Visiting Ada Pasutte on Easter Sunday were daughters from Alberta, Marina and Joy and their families. Marino was able to come home from River Heights Lodge for the day as well. Daughter Carol and family from Battleford attended. As did Carol's daughter from Moose Jaw. Mario and Ada especially enjoyed their five great-grandchildren all from Alberta.

Toni L'Heureux went to Jackfish to see her family at Easter. She said seven of her nine children attended. You must have had a wonderful time visiting them all, Toni.

Josie Wood travelled to Glaslyn to see her daughter. Hope you had a nice visit, Josie.

Bev and Murray McGrimmon were so glad to have their family home from Flaxcomb and Meadow Lake to visit at Easter. Hope you had an enjoyable time together folks!

Stella Gall informed me her husband Bill, whose birthday is in April, had four birthday parties with families from Leroy and Prince Albert. How lucky can you get, Bill? I'll bet you enjoyed them all, too.

We had our March and April birthday celebration April 16.

Congratulations and good wishes to March celebrants Joan Blixrud, Mary Dearborn, Laurine Wohlburg, Eleanor Mathews, and Mary Birch. Celebrating in April were Ernest Wawryk, Jennifer O'Hanlon, Hilda Andres, Josie Wood, William Gall, George Milnthorp, Alpha Schmurler, Bev McCrimmon and Thelma Kendall.

We all enjoyed the music and singing from Dwight Hemmerling, John Archer and Bennie Stienson. They always play all our favourite tunes that we have fun singing along to.

Thank you to Bev McCrimmon who conducts exercises for the seniors here Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the seventh floor from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come. It's important for us to keep mobile.

We were so pleased to have the Sons of Norway host their Whist Tournament here in the lounge April 20. The ladies and gentlemen come from surrounding areas as well as some from our Tower II. A delicious lunch was served afterwards and a good time was had by all. Thanks to Bev McCrimmon and Shirley Tebay who belong to those organizations. We appreciate them bringing their tournament to our Tower.

Hello to all new tenants who have moved in just recently. We hope to meet you all. Come and join in some of our activities that take place in the lounge. You would be welcome.

I hope everyone is in the best of health now and can enjoy the nice weather. See you next month.
