We have once again been enjoying a few days of mild weather, with cold weather due towards the end of the week. Driving carefully is the order of the day, since the warmer days and colder nights bring icy roads.
The periods of warmer weather and the fact that February's days are passing quickly bring thoughts of gardening. Shirley Wesson is preparing to do planting for bedding plants. By the end of the month, her planting will be well underway. We can't wait for gardening time, Shirley!
Keith and Debbie Pike, accompanied by Kirk and Debbie Munro of Lloydminster, returned Feb. 8 from three weeks spent in Hawaii. They spent most of their time in Honolulu, Oahu, and enjoying Waikiki Beach.
Besides relaxing in the sunshine, they enjoyed visiting various sites, including the Bishop Museum, which features Hawaiian history. A dinner cruise was another feature of their visit, as well as beaching and snorkeling.
Our belated best wishes to Bill Bullock, who celebrated his 100th birthday Feb. 9. His many friends were able to personally wish him happy birthday at an open house held in his honour.
Shirley and Ted Wesson spent a few days this month in Wilkie, where they visited with Shirley's mother, Mrs. Johanna Kuntz.
