District deputy visits in April

Supreme Lodge sent monthly updates keeping lodes informed of Royal Purple activities and involvement. All information can be obtained from the secretary. District Deputy Audrey Griffith sent her requests for the April 22 district meeting hosted by St. Walburg. Members are anticipating a good turnout, where they can accommodate the district lodges to share information, ideas and fellowship. There will be raffles, a display table and great food. All Royal Purple members are welcome.

It was reported that plans for both Ladies' Night Out and Blueberry Festival evening meal and talent night are progressing. Committees are working hard to provide top notch entertainment.

Several from the lodge travelled to Cut Knife with the travelling gavel. It was a most interesting evening.

It is that time of year when the nominating committee must present a list of officers' names to fill the chairs for the 2012-13 year. This is to be done for the April meeting.

The kitchen was inspected and given thumbs up by the health inspector.

Awarded service pins were Joan Karst and Judy Helperl for 25 years and Lois Hawryluk for 20 years.

Happy Birthday was sung to Jenny Looshorn and Rosemarie Veenstra. The lunch committee named for April-May-June is Georgina Schneider, Donna Hall and Martha Johnson.

The next meeting is Easter Monday.
