Sorry folks, but I took some time for me this summer. I went camping with my family in early July. Each summer Mom and Dad, my brothers and sister and their families and my family get together. I also helped out at the Midwest Miniature Horse and Pony Club's annual show during Lloydminster's Colonial Days Fair. Then in mid-August, John and I went to Bashaw, Alta. to attend the annual general meeting of the Canadian Dexter Cattle Association. Now we are set and ready for the school year.
July 9, a come and go tea was held in celebration of, my parents, Bill and Noreen Williamson's 50th anniversary. Their actual anniversary date is June 10. Family and friends joined us from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mervin Complex. Mom and Dad raised five children and now boast 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. They farmed together and produced grain as well as ran a dairy. During these years they ran us to hockey for the boys and curling for the girls. Mom also returned to the workforce and nursed until her retirement seven years ago. Now they are active in Mervin and numerous other adventures.
