Students in Maidstone celebrated the end of the school year with a visit from HOJA last week.

The a capella group formed in Saskatoon and now based in Calgary performs about 300 shows a year in across the country and is always welcomed with delight by the students of Maidstone.

Members of the group shared some of the secrets for making the sounds they create with their voices to make it sound as if a band is playing along. They shared humour throughout the show, between and during the carefully choreographed and harmonized tunes.

Students were encouraged to stay involved in music programs and enjoyed 小蓝视频 part of the rhythm section for the concert. Students and staff were selected to be part of the performance and as the music switched from classic rock to country to pop the audience became bigger fans of the group with great range and adaptability.

Members of HOJA are often asked why they do what they do and as they spoke about their love of singing and performing and dreams of 小蓝视频 on a stage they told students to find what they love and get involved in whatever that is. They spoke about the importance of practice and believing in one's self.
