Take some time to enjoy the current exhibition at the Allen Sapp Gallery. Peh Mitchisook (Come and Eat) is a collection of Allen Sapp paintings that relates to activities around the creation and enjoyment of a meal. The images show viewers how much work was involved in feeding a family.
The paintings were created in a time span from the 1960s through to 2011 and some have never before been exhibited. Each piece gives the viewer a sense of the story behind that particular moment - the many hands that would be involved for hunting, gathering, harvesting, preparing and enjoying food.
The exhibition also includes other artifacts and a video presentation about Allen and his life. Peh Mitchisook will be on exhibit until April 22.
