The cookbook has been completed and sent to the printers. We were pleased there was such a great response to our request for recipes. The books will be available in a few weeks.

Many other aspects of the celebration were discussed. A volunteer poster will be put up in the post office where those who wish to help can sign their names. The next meeting will be held April 6. Interested people are welcome to attend.

Congratulations to Lesley and Ryan Gray on the birth of their daughter, Makaelah, Feb. 19.

All those interested are invited to attend the community planning meeting to be held in the Waseca Community Centre March 10 at 7 p.m.

Did you know the swastika, or twisted cross, which became a symbol of terror in the 20th century and was revived in Nazi Germany, was one of the pre-Christian crosses? It was a religious emblem in India and China and appears on the oldest medallions of the Buddhists. It was later found on many early Christian tombs.
