A March 2-4 C脡FOU was to be the craziest cultural event of the year, as Grades 7 to 12 students of Le Conseil des 脡coles Fransaskoises celebrated their French culture.

With over 400 students, the College Mathieu in Gravelbourg was full of enthusiastic students.

For three days, the students participated in workshops centred around sports, arts, media, science and theatre. The students also competed in the 14th annual L'Expo sciences Fransaskois Provincial Science fair. The winner has a chance to go to the national competition.

For each of the workshops and sports activities, the groups are divided amongst the different schools. This gave the students a chance to meet others their age and create an exchange of friendships.

The gymnasium hosted the badminton and floor hockey provincial tournament. Curling was at the community curling rink. In the stands, spectators encouraged their friends and classmates.

The science team used the laws of physics to have fun.

The media team created a DVD of the three-day event.

The theatre team learned how to put on a show with lighting, music and set design.

The art team made banners to decorate for the Secondaire en spectacle. The art group also painted a mural that will stay in the upstairs mezzanine of the gymnasium as a memory of the event.

All teams participated in a circus workshop.

Students were asked to vote for their favourite art banner and talent act. Prizes were given out for participation.

The first evening, entertainment from the French Canadian band, SWING, filled the group with excitement.

The second evening, Secondaire en spectacle, a talent show, explored the various talents of music, dance and stand-up comedy. The winner has a chance to go to Quebec for a national competition.
