Each day we look for signs which will tell us the long winter is coming to an end. So far, temperatures have fluctuated from very cold to somewhat warmer. The small snowfalls that occur almost every day are adding up to hug piles in some places. Monday morning the temperature sat at -4 C with cloud and wind and a forecast for snow.

The Midwest Archeological Society members met Tuesday at the home of Vivien Metherell in Lloydminster.
The society was an active organization for many years with as many as 40 members performing service to the archeological history of our province. At this meeting they will be wrapping up all the loose ends and deciding what they can do to bring attention to some of the lesser-known archeological sites in the area using the money they have accumulated to mark these sites.
