We can still take bets on how long it will last.
Albert Beaudoin has retired! Officially. His wife Pat says so far so good, but it has only been three weeks. Albert has been a trucker most of his adult life. He started as a fuel truck driver for Radisson Co-op and advanced to long haul, working for various companies.
In the 1980s Albert started at Mattach Trucking and continued on when it sold to Westcan. In all his 29 years with the company he was accident-free and received his award each year for the 10 years the program was in place. On the ninth year one of the new drivers asked him if he ever took the truck out of the parking lot.
Albert and Pat are looking forward to a summer at the lake with family and friends.
Congratulations, Albert.
Retirement is a time / For feeling glad to be alive, / A time when friendships blossom / And enthusiasms thrive.
A chance to do the special things / You always wished you could. / Retirement is a special time / For knowing life is good.
Congratulations on your retirement.
