Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. Investigation determined an SUV collided with a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway.
KELVINGTON - Rose Valley RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred near Kelvington, Sask.
On Jan. 13 at approximately 6 p.m., Rose Valley RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 49, approximately five kilometres east of Kelvington.
Officers responded along with local fire and EMS. Investigation determined an SUV collided with a parked truck and a pedestrian on the side of the highway. The pedestrian was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 59-year-old male from Lintlaw. His family has been notified.
The adult female passenger in the truck was assessed by EMS at the scene and reported no physical injuries to police.
The adult male driver of the SUV reported no physical injuries to police but was taken to hospital for further assessment.
Rose Valley RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
