MELFORT - The Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual awards banquet on March 22.
Lloyd Muntain, president of the Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce (MTACC) said, “We held our annual MelBex Awards with special guest speakers from 小蓝视频 Todd Goudy and MP Randy Hoback, along with Mayor Glenn George.

The MTACC said about the citizens of the year winners, Dr. Yemi and Foluke Laosebikan: “From their arrival in 2004 to their countless contributions since, the Laosebikans have become key leaders and passionate advocates in our community. Whether it's through health care, legal services, volunteerism, downtown revitalization, or cultural initiatives like the Christmas Castle and Black History Month exhibits — Yemi and Foluke give their time, talent, and hearts to make Melfort better every day.”
Eileen Shaw, manager for Wapiti Valley Regional Park said, “Thank you to the staff and board members, past and present, that have contributed to us receiving this award. There have been hundreds of people over the past 40 years that have brought Wapiti Valley to the place it is today. Without their dedication and vision, this would not have been possible. The current staff and board are now able to build on this strong foundation, continuously improving and expanding Wapiti.”
The event was held at the CJVR performing arts theater in the Kerry Vickar Center with Amanda Perret as the evening's MC. Saskatchewan recording artist Donny Parenteau performed for the 200 guests in attendance.
