HUMBOLDT — The City of Humboldt said the Humboldt Fire Department was dispatched on Thursday, June 1 at approximately 12:35 a.m., to a report of a fire at 607-10th Street in Humboldt, a 24-unit condominium complex.
The fire had started on the balcony of a unit in the top southwest corner that quickly spread to the attic.
Fortunately, firefighters were able to keep the fire to the top floor and had the fire contained by approximately 3 a.m.
An investigation into how the fire originated is 小蓝视频 conducted. Thirty-eight residents were safely evacuated, assessed on scene by paramedics, and treated as necessary, said the press release.
The Pioneer Hotel provided individuals with accommodation for the evening. The Red Cross will be attending to short-term assistance over the next few days. Humboldt Housing Authority has offered housing over the course of the next few months while reconstruction takes place.
The City of Humboldt said they wanted to acknowledge Humboldt’s dedicated emergency services, the Pioneer Hotel, the Red Cross, and Humboldt Housing Authority for their immediate care and attention.
