TETZLAFF: Norbert

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend - Norbert Tetzlaff. Norbert was born January 23, 1938 in Viscount SK. He passed away on October 21, 2014 in Prince Albert SK. Norbert grew up in the Viscount Saskatchewan area and attended school in Lucasville. He attended Teachers College and obtained two degrees from the University of Saskatchewan. He majored in English and Geography. He married the love of his life Louise Stahl, on August 15, 1964. They lived in Coleville and Bruno before moving to Prince Albert in 1975. During this time, Norbert taught school at all levels. He was active in extra curricular activities of all varieties. He was always there to help a student with however he could. He was a coach and a mentor. He also farmed, on his own land and helped family, friends and neighbors throughout the years. He enjoyed driving tractors and working the land. Norbert had a wide variety of interests including all manner of sports, woodworking, gardening, travel, and music, playing cards with family and friends and storytelling. He loved a good joke and laughter. Norbert is survived by his soul mate Louise; loving daughter, Celene-Rose (Scott) Polischuk of Lloydminster AB; his precious beloved grandsons - Tanner and Carson; his brothers, Herbert (Loretta), and Larry (Susan); his sister Dolores Janisse; his brothers-in-law Rodger (Judy) Stahl and Donny (Louise) Paydli; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. His dearest friends, Ed (Wanda) Tokarchik, and Con (Mary) Honish; his chosen son Keith (Lillian) LaPrise. Norbert was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Clara (Mann) Tetzlaff; his brothers Norman (Lovella), Andrew, Otto, Raymond (Helene), and Joseph (Loretta) and sister Clara (Ben) Ollenberger; his in-laws Charles and Rose (Bourauel) Stahl; sisters-in-law, Josephine (Albert) Hassen and Geraldine Paydli. Prayer Service was held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 with Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Memorial Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 with Celebrant Reverend Father Michal Fahlman. Both services were held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church,Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 - 3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or to a Charity of Donor's Choice.
